Pull the emergency release cord toward the door.

Take care when operating the manual release when the door is open as it may.
Do not try to pull the door using the manual release cord.
It will snap under the load.

Once you are done maneuvering your garage door and are ready to re engage the automatic door opener please return the garage door back to the down position.
Pulling on this rope will put the garage into manual mode so if the door is up it might come crashing down.
